Antoinette Allocca – President/Founder

Antoinette Allocca, recognized as the pioneer in the technical writing services industry, founded Essential Data Corporation in 1987. Under Allocca’s leadership and direction, EDC has grown into a multi-million dollar business with offices and employees in more than 30 locations nationwide.

Allocca’s vision has allowed EDC to navigate through difficult economic times and volatile business climates with consistent growth. Recognizing trends and positioning her company to respond to them rapidly has been the key to her success. In the last year, when many small-businesses have experienced
significant loss, EDC has shown more than a 50% increase in revenue.

Under Allocca’s direction, EDC has won the Outstanding Employer Award and was recognized as the fastest growing women owned business by Working Woman Magazine for two consecutive years. She was also honored for her success as one of the top 500 business owners in the U.S.  at a White House dinner. Allocca has been featured in numerous national publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and USA Today and is a highly sought-after public speaker.

Prior to founding Essential Data, Allocca was Vice President of Marketing at Vital Software in Manhattan. In 1979 she played a principal role in launching Vital’s technical writing division. She holds a B.S. in marketing from Hofstra University and has 4 children.

Thomas Walsh – Vice President

Thomas Walsh has been with Essential Data Corporation since 1997. In his present role as Vice President, Mr. Walsh oversees EDC’s North American Operations including recruiting, accounting/finance and IT operations.

Mr. Walsh holds his degree in marketing and held various executive and management positions within the IT and Consulting industries prior to joining EDC.

 

 

Lisa Benne – Managing Director, Northeast

lisaLisa joined Essential Data Corporation in 1996 after a very successful 14-year career as a senior sales representative in the medical diagnostics industry.  She was recruited as one of the first members of the sales organization of EDC.  She quickly built sales to produce $3.5 million in revenues annually.  Marketing IT documentation & training services to all vertical markets nationwide, she functions in a highly entrepreneurial sales environment. She has cultivated relationships with CIO’s and IT directors, positioning EDC on numerous highly selective and extremely limited corporate vendors’ lists.  She has identified client needs and targeted talent to meet specific client demands.  Lisa has developed numerous client relationships with Fortune 500 companies and has achieved the highest production of new accounts at EDC.  She has expanded EDC’s scope successfully into the public sector and has capitalized on EDC’s niche in the government sector.

Michelle Brown – Managing Director, Southeast

MichelleMichelle came aboard Essential Data Corporation in 2006, a pivotal time for the Financial Industry of the US.  Her knowledge of governmental contracting helped to open new doors for EDC.  With the help of a GSA Schedule and 8(a) certification, EDC continues to flourish.

Atlanta Native with a love of international Travel. A strong philanthropic background, she serves on several local and national boards. This wide array of experiences assists her with her love of ‘deal making”.

Michelle’s motto is “If you want something done, give it to a busy person”

Michelle is married with 6 children, 3 grandchildren, 3 horses and 1 beloved dog.

Peter Majkowski – Managing Director, Mid-Atlantic

PeteAfter graduating from the US Naval Academy, Pete Majkowski began his career as a Nuclear trained Submarine Officer in the US Navy, where he served aboard a fast attack submarine and subsequently provided training to junior naval officers in nuclear power theory.  He also worked for several years with a major Fortune 200 company as an IT Manager and a Capital Projects Manager.

Pete has been with EDC since 2002, managing the MidAtlantic region, working with our clients in both the Public and Private sectors.  He has performed the role of Program manager for major government contracts, and led documentation teams in various software and procedural projects.

He is ITIL Foundations certified, Series 6, 63 & 26 licensed, and writes product reviews for a national trade magazine.

Scott Wolfe – Managing Director, West

ScottAfter working in Europe for 28 years with the distributors of Acer, HP and Cisco , where Scott helped determine installation guidelines and security protocols  as well as arrange for staff augmentation, Scott returned to the United States working in high tech sales for Leverage Information Systems and Microsoft. Scott joined EDC in 2011 and has since helped a wide variety of clients  achieve their documentation goals, including the defense, medical and manufacturing sectors.  Certified engineer for Cisco and a certified Microsoft Network Administrator fluent in Swedish and a avid musician in his free time.
